We are …
… a network of students and young professionals dedicated to enhance professional exchange on social work between Asia and Europe. Professional exchange and cross-cultural understanding will profit from personal contacts, leading to individual opportunities in further training and education.
We invite all interested to contribute their experience and ideas to actively extend our network.
Objectives
We hope to establish an international network of people sharing their commitment on social work in Asia, be it on a practical or theoretical field. We expect these individuals will facilitate and enrich co-operation on social work between Asia and Europe through their intercultural knowledge and social skills. We are focused on mutual transfer of knowledge and experience through scientific analysis and hands-on projects, enhancing social work public interests in Asia.
Theory and Practice
We promote exchange of ideas of theoretical approaches between our continents through workshops, panel discussions and internet fora. We shall establish an interdisciplinary platform that enables scientists working on social work-related issues to exchange ideas and discuss scientific matters. To support such exchange we shall set up a documentary collection on relevant topics, thereby invigorating research on social work in Asia. Additionally, this platform can be used by students and interested individuals to exchange information on internships and project-opportunities in Europe and Asia. Thus, we intend to contribute to a productive mutual transfer of knowledge on social work between Europe and Asia.
